TRUTH IN EDUCATION AMENDMENT

OFFICIAL PETITION TO BOTH HOUSES OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS

Submission Form directing the United States Congress

to send the Truth in Education Amendment, under Article V of the United States Constitution, to the Several States for ratification. 

The first paragraph of the United States Constitution reads:   " of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."  ARTICLE IX of the AMENDMENTS to the U.S. Constitution guarantees the RIGHT TO of the people to preserve Truth in Education in America: "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people." I hereby instruct each member of Both Houses of Congress, according to ARTICLE V of the U.S. Constitution and AMENDMENTS I, IX, and X to send to the State Legislatures for RATIFICATION the following proposed AMENDMENT to the United States Constitution entitled the "TRUTH IN EDUCATION AMENDMENT":

TRUTH IN EDUCATION AMENDMENT

ARTICLE 28 (or alternate number to be assigned by Congress)

Section 1.  America’s educational institutions have a unique importance to the American people.  It is the right of American citizens to receive from their private and public educational institutions accurate accounts of America’s history and academic instruction that is not intentionally false, or intentionally misleading, or deliberately distorted.  This right is foundational to a free people. 

Section 2.  To secure the rights of citizens it is hereby prohibited for any educational institution, whether an individual or organization, whether private or public, to intentionally teach to students or the American public false, misleading or distorted information on any subject.  The provisions of this Article are enforceable within the United States which shall include the Several States, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the territories and possessions of the United States.

Section 3. Congress shall have the power to enforce by appropriate legislation, the provisions of the Article.
