"SINGLE ISSUE" FEDERAL CONVENTIONSPROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTIONRedress of Grievances PetitionsWe are presently advancing the Balanced Federal Budget Amendment to the United States Constitution through a "Single Issue" Federal Convention. Other proposed Amendments will be introduced in a scheduled sequence. To download a copy of your State's "Redress Petition" click the "Petition Balanced Budget" link in the navigation bar on the left. This Redress of Grievances Petition will be presented to your State's legislators directing them to approve the Call for a Balanced Federal Budget Convention. Each "Legislative Call" by State Legislatures directs Congress to either send the proposed Amendment back to the States for ratification voluntarily, or when 34 States complete their Calls, convene the "Single Issue" Federal Convention. The States will control the terms, conditions and agenda at the Convention through their irrevocable 13 page contract (Legislative Call) between the Calling States.
