White House Strategy
Presidential Efforts:
The President
of the United States has no
constitutional role in the Convention process. However, he can exert great
pressure on Congress
to send the proposed Amendment to State
Legislatures
for ratification, before Congress is
forced by the States to convene a Convention
. CITIZEN INITIATIVES will be working
with the Administration to secure the President’s support on selected
Amendments.
