SINGLE
ISSUE INITIATIVES BY STATE
In the following United States Map the dark States are those that allow
initiatives or statutes to be placed on the ballot by their citizens. The
white States allow only State Legislatures to place initiatives or statutes on
their ballots.
CITIZEN INITIATIVES plans to concentrate its efforts in smaller more favorable
States, where Legislative Calls will be easier
to secure and where the voting population will be more favorable to proposed
Amendments. Remember, only 34 States need to make a Call on Congress to
convene a “SINGLE ISSUE” Federal Convention and 26 States are needed to
control the Convention through Delegate Resolutions. . To win at State ballots may
require as little as 9% of the State vote to force the hand of disapproving State
Legislators.
